James V. Ford
Bloomingdale - James V. Ford 59, died Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. He was a 1965 graduate of Savannah High School and was an electrician working for R & R Electrical Contractors. He was a past member of the Alee Shrine Director’s Staff and was an avid sportsman. He was a former semi-pro player for the Savannah Indians. He was a longtime Umpire for the City of Savannah.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Becky Ford, of Bloomingdale, his mother, Marie Ford, of Savannah, step-daughter, Demeshia Coleman, of Pooler, step-son, Pete Moreland, of Savannah, his sister, Mona Stembridge, of Richmond Hill, and three brothers, Michael Ford, of Santa Rosa, CA, Ron Ford, of San Rafiel, CA, and Don Ford, of Atlantic Beach, FL, grandson, Christopher Coleman, granddaughter, Madison Coleman, of Pooler, two sons, Scott Ford and Kevin Ford, daughter, Amy Ford, all of South Carolina, and five additional grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m., Saturday, November 25, 2006 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel.
An additional wake will be held following the visitation at Coach’s Corner on Victory Drive.
